Elephant BIG black garden stool / lantern Porcelain Elephant Statue

Beautiful Raj style ceramic Elephant BIG. Black base. White on the nails on the feet and the tusks.
The elephant can be used as a decoration object in your home or garden. You can put a plant on top, use it as a side table or you can even use it as a children's seat. It will draw attention wherever you put it.
It can be placed outside but beware of frost.

This one can also be used as an decorative lantern. You can put tea lights inside ( see the pictures ) or a lamp.

These lovely elephants in Raj style were made between the 1930’s and the 1970’s in England, France and South East Asia. These ceramic Elephants are made in the Majolica technique ( Faience ) which brings the bright and deep colours you see. They were made in two sizes; big ones like this one, (about 10 kilogram) and small ones (1 kilogram). Most of the Elephants have no brand marks. That is not uncommon.
This one has been made more than 50 years ago but still in great shape. Construction is fine.
